Xeepe presents a fully integrated SIP and ISDN VoIP Telephone System

Xeepe is introducing their fully integrated SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) & ISDN VoIP Telephone Solution. With Xeepe it is possible to have phone calls to traditional Telephone Numbers and at the same time to the free of charge and open SIP Community via the Internet.

Xeepe has overcome the challenge of integrating these two technically different worlds.

Xeepe has been developed especially for the needs of SOHO, small and medium sized companies, law & tax offices and Agencies. It is designed to work within the office LAN behind NAT and provides NAT traversal solution.

Xeepe PBX is complex software application contains residential SIP proxy, ISDN gateway, Media server and Session Border Controller with Media Relay.

Xeepe does not use the B2B (men in the middle) approach for SIP communications with SIP providers like used by almost all existing office PBX, including Asterisk based. Every Xeepe user without additional effort has all ISDN features and obtains worldwide accessible SIP address. Because all Xeepe users are members of the full SIP compliant Xeepe Network they may use SIP services like IM, Presence and Conferencing. Xeepe delivers this functionality “out of the box”.

Xeepe solution has a two levels architecture:

  • Xeepe Network – the service provided by Xeepe project
  • Xeepe PBX – physically located on client site

Connection between Xeepe PBX and Xeepe Network leverages all SIP communication with “out-of-the-office” users, other Xeepe PBX and other SIP networks. Nevertheless Xeepe PBX may work autonomously or with temporary failed Internet connection, you will be able to make in-office and ISDN calls.

Xeepe PBX provides easy scalable solution. Number of SIP users (extensions) is unlimited, with active ISDN cards like Primux it may handle up to 8 BRI lines (16 simultaneous calls) depends from server’s performance. PRI version is coming soon.

The Xeepe Telephone System can be easily downloaded and installed. Windows based software solution for Xeepe PBX is provided at the moment, Linux based Xeepe Box is planned. To make Xeepe a complete Telephone System one or more BRI ISDN lines and an appropriate CAPI compatible card are needed. SIP compliant hardware phones, ATA devices, soft phones with USB Phones and Headsets may be used as client devices.
